Pls take note that i'm not saying about thaali alone. but also about all other supertition, the restrictions like jaati, wedding ceremony, banana trees used, metti, sindhoor, jasmine, period and lots of things.
Is there any epic, talk about Hindu supertitions? I read Mahabaratham & Bagavath Geethai. I did not come across any supertitions Hindusm practice nowadays. The conclusion on the epics was, "you do good, you'll be rewarded", vice versa. So, i argue, Hindu followers created supertitions at the later part, when they don't know what is right. As what was said earlier, there was no forced 'sathi' 3000 yrs ago.. So that Kunthi was not forced to sathi. But occur at a later part, in 18th century.
The supertition get worse each and every second. Now, we can see people start to pooja the trees, stone, sand etc. It happens because they dont know where is God. Who is God.
So this is how the supertition took place. And it is increasing day by day. I argue that only a few hundred years ago that Hindusm came across this supertitions. And was created by a man. So that they do not have to follow. Could be a lady created it, because of strong believe.

So, Draupadi wores 5 'thaali'? Cool.
Hey, could anyone explain. how they get married? Now in Hindu wedding we have 'mangalyam'. Does it mean 5 of them tied this around her neck. Doesn't make sence.
Actually, I'm quite curious about 'mangalyam' and all these supertitions Hindusm follow. Do we have all this centuries ago? If we don, why we have it now. For me, its only a believe. But how we came to follow it.
If anyone wants to make a research on this. Pls include myself.
