Your podcast is brilliant. The way you describe the ragas, the history behind them and the way the different music directors used them..very informative and interesting. Your website is also very interesting ..though my reading of the Tamil script is fairly slow and don't know the meaning of some words I am persevering. It saddens me somehwat:
arithu arithu maanidarai pirappathu arithu..endru solvargal aanal it is sad for some us (like meself) to be born without isaingnanam don't you think?

Fantastic! Such beautiful songs. I didn't know that these songs had a background ragas. I wish I knew about the ragas and the related terminology like sruthi, thala etc etc. What an eye-opener.
