In this Chapter titled "Pulikesiyin Purapaadu", Mahendra Pallavar tells Pulikesi that he is the one who came as Vajrabahu to meet Pulikesi with a message from Naganadhi. He also tells Pulikesi that he switched the actual letter given by Naganandhi and the original letter contained the message that the time was ripe for Pulikesi to attack Kanchi. Pulikesi is aghast on hearing this.
