In this chapter titled "Vazhi nee mayile" (long live the peacock), Aayanar and Sivagami come to king Mahendra Pallava's palace. The king requests Sivagami to dance. The Vatapi king is also present at that time. Sivagami searches for prince Mamalla but is unable to find him. She then dances for a song praising a peacock where in she tells the bird that the lover who swore he would come back, did not.
