There are 11 DivyaDesams situated in and out of ThiruNangore.The legend has it that Indra worshipped Lord Vishnu at this place.It is also believed that Lord Badrinarayanar came down to bless Matunga muni. It is believed that Lord Vishnu appeared to shiva as Ekhadesa Rudra. The Famous Garudaseva festival happens in front of this temple.
