This week’s Podcast is about “Arulmigu Kailasanathar Alayam,Thingaloor ”. The sthalam of Chandran is Thingaloor, which is located 36kms from Kumbakonam, enroute to Thiruvaiyaru.

The Moon is the planet of unconscious mind, habits, emotions, stability of mind, frequent change of moods. It describes how you feel to handle relationship, how emotional you are when responded to situations and experiences, added with daily functions, physical, emotional and mental stability. Moon is called the Mother Planet, since it rules over moods of children, adult, and elderly.

Presiding Deity : Kailasanathar
Goddess : Periyanayakiamman
Chandran : Moon
Vehicle : White horse
Gem : Pearl (muthu)
Flower : White Arali

it is here that Chandran prayed to Lord Siva and got his blessings. As Chandran is held in the locks of Lord Siva, all devotees who worship Easwaran have also to worship this planet.

If Moon's chart is found to be weak, then the person will tend to swing his decisions frequently as he/she is influenced by this planet. It is believed that if one visits this place and worships the Lord here, they will be rid of diseases. This Kshetra is closely associated with appodhi adigal and thirunavukarasu swamigal where Appar sang Thiruppadigam to bring back appodhi adiagal’s son’s life who was bitten by snake.

Temple is open from 7 A.M. to 12.00 P.M. and 4 P.M. to 8 P.M.
