I am back after a long time; but I have a tasty recipe from Kerala to share with all of you Pineapple Moru Koottan. My family loves this recipe, and we include it very often in our Sunday lunches. I hope you enjoy it.

The ingredients are:

Pineapple (fresh or canned) About 15 chunks or cubes
Curd or Yogurt 4 tbsp.
ButtermilkHalf a glass
CoconutFour tbsp.
Green ChilliesTwo
SugarOne tsp.
Cummin Seeds JeeraHalf tsp.
Curry Leaves
Salt
Oil for seasoning

I loved the pineapple moru koottaan recipe. That's the first pineapple based south Indian recipe I have come across. Sounds very delicious. At home, we also prepare moru kozhambu in the kerala style, using either white pumpkin or yam("karnakzhangu"). Maami's endearing rendition of this recipe is also appealing.
Hats off to podbazaar for promoting audio presentations of interesting recipes. The verbal presentation, coupled with the engaging background music definitely perks one's interest in the show.
