Nahusha said, "I will be released if you could answer all my questions. I shall, then set your brother free." Yudhisthira answered all the questions to the satisfaction of Nahusha. But the humanity and gentleness of Yudhisthira’s spirit was also transparent in his replies. Nahusha was very pleased to see one of the descendants to be such a scholar and a king of such saintly character. King Nahusha acquired a god like appearance. A chariot descended from the sky and Nahusha went away to the heavens. The Pandavas spent about a year, there in the ashrama of Vrishaparva. Then they started towards plains.

Me too surprised with what was predicted so many centuries ago. How true it is to the current time. As and when you were reading I too was able to relate it to what is happening around me.

Great going. Please do continue with you good work.

Hi Suresh my name is mathangi....I have heard your random ramblings podcast...so knew your atheist beliefs ...so was surprised when I heard the mahabharatha podcast.I got my answer when I got towards the end of your podcasts.I got a little bugged that you discontinued where you did...since I spent a lot of time listening to it at once...Although I cant claim I am super busy now.I am not that pressed for time so thought of listening to your podcasts.I think you should add a disclaimer that its not the complete mahabharatha.Anyways on your accusation that no one cares enough to do podcasts blah blah...I guess I would be one of those opinionated ppl not voicing out her opinion. But the reality is i am not sure I want ppl to know abt my personal life bcoz all of our opinions stem from our experiences and phases in life....Anyways one day when I have the time and conviction to voice my opinions in podcasts ,I will do it..till then I shall listen to your opinions though...good job

Hi 'math',

I haven't read 'The Great Indian Novel'.
Actually, I don't believe that Mahabharata is history, I made that argument in the first few episodes. I clarified my stance, especially episode 9 (and the one before it). Some of the arguments made for the case - that Mahabharata is history - are seriously flawed.
