Do you know what a "Langot" (pronounced as "Lung-oat") is ?

Silly you !
No, that is not what I was referring to.
Listen to the program and find out for yourself.

In this program, Madhav reminisces about how Sankranti was celebrated when he was a kid in Secunderabad, India.

Hello Madhav,

Am using your podcast with a few students to get them used to the Indian accent, need to transcibe it and can't figure out some of the Indian words you use in your podcast. (I love the story by the way!)
Perhaps you can contact me so you don't have a big nasty comment here!
Love to hear more stories!

I never had the opportunity to indulge in kite flying this seriously but my heart soared as I listened to every delightful detail that you narrate so skillfully. Thanks and as we say in Maharashtra during Sankranti, "Tilgul ghya ani goad bola" (I offer you jaggery and sesame and may you always have sweet things to say!).
