The public health workers should be trained in medical subjects like anatomy, physiology, medicine, surgery, pathology, in addition to specifically public health topics like medical statistics, water, food, first aid, vaccines, and the necessary tools for teaching common villagers in maintaining their own personal hygiene. These courses should be taught in colleges which are converted from those teaching the unscientific medicine so that they serve a useful, societal purpose.
