A previous generation of desi kids growing up in the US were told they had the "best of both worlds"--the opportunities of America and the essence of Indian culture. what I meant the culture/lifestyle gap between US and India is not that wide anymore.

Lifestyle wise (and if you have the bucks), what can't you do in India that you can in US? I agree that the money factor is style is huge but earlier the best choclate your money could buy in India was a tile of cadbury. Not any more though.

Culture-wise(Depends on what it means to you), India is becoming more like USA. Sex/voilence is all over the place. So I dont know what exactly we mean by culture. is it jsut learning bharatnatiyam or going to the temple??

question...

Indicast, when you say "the best of both worlds is not going to be true ten years from now," I'm intrigued.

do explain in greater detail...

do you mean that children of desis growing up in America won't be able to draw on both cultures equally? Or something quite different?

10 years from now, the best of both world is not going to be true.

But a very well compiled show, seems like you put in a lot of energy into it. The next episode is on going back right!!! As someone going back to India so lets see if you cover the points that I decided to go back for.
