Mahabaratham, is it an epic?

Introduction - part 1

Duration 19m 26s

mp3 download

This is the first episode of the Multi-part series (will probably have 50-60 episodes totally).
In this episode I ask the basic question about Mahabarath - Did the events described in the Bharath really happen? How do you argue against someone who tries to mock a believer?

Hi Suresh,

I have accidentally stumbled upon this when I was doing a wild goose chase after seeing your "Spicy Katharikka Kuzhambu" and I am happy that I have got this....

I grew up adding Mahabharatha in my mind while time has added flesh and blood in my body. My granny used to recite the story during my bed time and by the time I was 6 -7 years old, I might have heard this 3 -4 times and in addition to that we used to have "Kathai" sessions every 3rd year in our "Droubathaiamman Kovil". I am an avid reader and Mahabharatham is always my favorite (the list includes Harry Potter and LoTR too !!!!)

Keep up the good work and your arguments itself are answering why Mahabharata is not famous like HP or LoTR. Though it has all moral and magic, like all our scriptures it was written complex and I am sure efforts from people like you will make this popular.

I will listen this and post my comments. Once again thanks

Great!

Suresh, nan romba naala indha booka padikanumnu ninaichundae irundhen but never materialized. Ippo ella audiovum donwload panni kettundu iruken.
Good stuff : indha maathiri oru muyarchi has to be appreciated. When there are people commenting about vetti politics, cinema reviews, talking about themselves and their achievements, indha topic is very refreshing, konjam intellectuala iruku.
Enaku unga personalitykum suthama match kidayadhu. neenga edhula ellam believe panreengalo adhula enaku belief kidayadhu, edhula believe pannalayo enaku adhula rombave belief iruku :-) but who cares I enjoy your recitation and examples cause its logical. For ex you are an atheist and am not. Ungaloda personal influence idhula irundhalum adhu konjama iruku. which is the best. For ex neenga dmk supporter illana therijudhu but u dont propaganda it. ungaluku saibaba belief illennu theriyum and u spoke ur thoughts but not spoken to hurt the sentiments of such devotees. Oruthara hurt panradhu romba easy neenga andha vishayathula carefulla irukeenganu naan sollala because u are just speaking live to the mic. which means ur character itself is like that. adhunaala thaan yarum hurt aagama pesamudiyudhu. Only when subconsciously certain thigs are in your blood it will be projected. So i really appreciate it.
Bad : idha sollalenna eppadi :-)
(idhu enna poruthavaraikum mattume bad) oru kadhaya alasum bodhu andha full details sollanum, idhu kadhaiku theva illanu nammalae decide panna koodathu. Theva illena edhuku vyasa mention pannanum or cho adha ezhudhanum. So details fulla sollanunga. Even if it becomes 2 months to complete its quality work. I have listened to 5 of the chapters now but in many many places I find "idhu kadhaiku theva illa so discuss pannala" which is not good. Engaluku interest irukaadhunu neenga thappu kanakku potteenga.

Finally, You Being an atheist I am really excited about how you are going to talk about Gita, belief in karma, reincarnation and especially the 11th chapter of vishwa roopa dharisanam of Krishna :-)
But ofcourse dont jump the gun, i will wait.
